Hello, this is Wendi Bailey, your Toccoa-Stephens County Chamber of Commerce President with your Weekly Chamber Update.

Toccoa-Stephens County has lots of opportunity to attract tourists to our 12th annual Currahee Military Weekend set for October 5th-7th, recently named the Best Downtown Event in Georgia.

We need your help to invite your friends and family - proudly wear your red, white and blue, and help us show off our Currahee Military Museum and Camp Toccoa at Currahee.

New this year, on Friday the 5th the USO Hangar Dance will have a LIVE band - the Dave Frye Quartet will be playing live 40’s big band music. And, on Saturday the 6th the Currahee Club’s - Currahee Challenge Run/Walk age group winners will receive medals for awards, made by local Pastor Paul Garrison. The BBQ and Dance Tickets are available NOW at the Welcome Center. For a complete list of our events and sponsors, please visit www.toccoagachamber.com.

Come celebrate the lives and contributions of the paratroopers who trained at Camp Toccoa on Currahee Mountain during WWII.

I have a Few Announcements for you today:

Our Ribbon Cutting Celebration will be TODAY at Tires of Toccoa. Come celebrate with Mary Tatum and her husband and their team at 10am today at their location on 123 Currahee Street.
