Weekly Chamber Update
Thursday November 18, 2010

Today from 9am to 10:30am we will visit with our SENATOR JIM BUTTERWORTH & REPRESENTATIVE MICHAEL HARDEN in the Mitchel Allen Conference room at the Historic Train Depot. Join the City, County, Schools, Chamber, and Development Authority officials - as we meet to discuss community priorities - as well as the legislative priorities - for the upcoming General Assembly session. We hope to see you there!

Who is coming to the L-N-L today - called "Web Site, Social Media & Online Marketing Strategies". Did you know over 1200 people/month go to the Chamber’s Online Business Directory and click through to member's web sites?

The Chamber wants to assist all members with getting a 24-7 web presence! Come hear about opportunities to purchase a mini-web page or bigger web sites - as well as Online Directory Banner Ads. Also, get Tips & Tricks for getting better results from using Facebook and Email Marketing tools. That’s today 11am to 1pm in the Mitchell Allen Room. Cost is $10 and lunch will be served.

The Chamber’s Membership Committee is again raising the awareness of the importance of Buying Local this Holiday - to support our local economy. They are rolling out the NEW and IMPROVED Shop Stephens and Save program - and inviting member businesses to submit their Best Holiday Discounts now for upcoming marketing and promotions. Let’s make it EASY for our local shoppers to find the perfect gift items LOCALLY this holiday season.

Your Chamber is thankful for all our 400 plus members. Our Board and committee Chairs are committed to being the BEST / business / organization - representing their needs and interests. Your issues are our issues and your concerns are our concerns.
